“When hiking up Fairview Mountain in Banff, Canada, we met another hiker who challenged us to make it to the top, where we faced a snowstorm. We decided to pray daytime prayer while at the top. Not even a minute later the sun was shining, the snow stopped, and the wind was gone. After that hike, our new friend joined us in eating burgers for dinner. Definitely a story for the books.”

“Hi, I’m Peter Russman. I’ve been blessed to walk pilgrimage routes, visit holy sites, and explore corners of the world where faith and culture meet. Along the way, I realized that many travelers—whether first-timers or seasoned—want guidance that keeps faith at the center while also making the practical side of travel easier. That’s why I started The Catholic Navigator.
My mission is to help others discover God in new places—through creation, through history, and through living traditions of the Church. Every journey I lead or plan is rooted in prayer, respect for the traveler’s needs, and a genuine love of seeing people grow closer to God while exploring His world.”
